A brief Description of Technology Facilities most request by teachers using FSDirect
COMPUTER LAB AND SEMINAR ROOM SIGN-UPS
Teachers who would like to schedule their classes into computer labs need to sign up for lab time through the MPI Facility Request Website. Mark Hines (3784) or Bob McIntosh (3793) can provide guidance on how to sign up using the online form.
Here is a brief description of the available labs:
Library Lab: 24 Win XP machines, all facing forward in three rows. MS Office, Web browsing. LCD projector for instruction and class presentations. Located ground floor of Kawaiaha'o.
KCC1: 24 Win XP machines, positioned around the periphery. MS Office, Web browsing. LCD projector for instruction and class presentations. Located ground floor of Kawaiaha'o.
A-305: 24 Win XP machines around the perimeter of the classroom. MS Office, Web browsing. LCD projector for instruction and class presentations. Located top floor of Atherton Hall.
WTC (Weinberg)Plaza Floor Computer lab: 19 Win XP and up to 7 Mac 10.4 machines set up in clusters of 4. Easily supports groups work or individual work MS Office, Web browsing, Fathom, Sketchpad, Inspiration, Logger Pro, Macromedia MX Suite, lots of other education applications. Call for a complete list. Located ground floor of the Weinberg Tech Plaza, by the Watase Courtyard.
WTC (Weinberg) Mulimedia Zone: 20 Mac 10.4 machines set up in clusters of 3. Easily supports groups work or individual work. iLife, iWork, Digital design tools (Photoshop, Macromedia and Adobe Suite), Final Cut Pro. Located top floor of the Weinberg Tech Plaza. Only available in rare free periods.
WTC (Weinberg) Seminar Room: One presentation station with both a Win XP machine a Mac 10.4 machine, plus LCD projector, DVD player & VHS player, projected onto 8-ft screen. 15 trapezoidal tables and 30 chairs on wheels - highly configurable for group work, round table discussion, etc. Located top floor Weinberg Tech Plaza, makai end.
CTC (Chew Tech Center) Seminar Room: One presentation station with a Mac 10.4 machine, plus LCD projector, DVD player & VHS player, projected onto 8-ft screen. 24 chair - no tables. Good for presentations, not so great for note taking.
